1.Privacy of Sample Collection: Employees must provide the urine sample in a private location to prevent tampering.

2.Qualified Collector: The sample must be collected by someone qualified to ensure proper collection and accuracy of results.

3.Sealing & Labeling: The sample must be sealed and labeled in the presence of the employee to prevent switching with another sample.

4.Laboratory Analysis: The sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis to ensure it's tested by a qualified entity.

5.Reporting Results: The laboratory must report the test results to the employer so they can take appropriate action if positive results are found.

These standards ensure the integrity of the urine drug testing process, guaranteeing that results are accurate and that any incidents of drug or alcohol use among employees are appropriately addressed.

Regulated drug screens are a specific type approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation. These tests are the only type allowed for all employees required to be tested for drug use by federal law, such as those operating heavy equipment or large vehicles. Regulated Urine drug screens are nine-panel, meaning they test for nine types of drugs--amphetamines, marijuana, cocaine, opiates, MDMA, 6 AM and PCP.
